Craster Village & Harbour - Northumberland
Craster Village & Harbour - Northumberland

I had a lovely weekend recently in Northumberland, staying at The Olde Ship Inn in Seahouses with my wife. My family have been coming to this area since the 1930's - my grandparents brought my mum and her sister here as wee girls, my mum brought me and my brother as wee boys, and I have kept coming as an adult for over 40 years. Northumberland is a very special place, and as a photographer, offers up so many opportunities.

Here is one shot I took of Craster over that weekend. A tricky shot, as it was directly into the low winter sun, however I managed to pull it off. I always shoot in the RAW format, and this image is made up of nine individual RAW images, stitched together. I was able to pull out the details of the village and harbour with a little editing, despite the sun.

Prints of this image are available to purchase in the Shop.

Here is some more information on the village of Craster, and The Olde Ship Inn in Seahouses, should you fancy a visit yourself.
