Drew Lees Art & Photography vigorously protects copyright interests. If an infringement is discovered, you will be notified and invoiced the industry standard TRIPLE FEE for unauthorised usage and/or prosecuted for Copyright Infringement, where you will be subject to a statutory damage fine as well as all court costs and legal fees.

To secure reproduction rights to any images, please read the Licencing Digital Files page, and complete the Enquiry Form. Many of the images on the web site are available for commercial licence (webmaster, press, advertising etc) at industry standard rates.
Previous stealing and leeching of my images has forced me to add a visible watermark, as well as a trackable digital watermark in the EXIF data of each image.
Under all circumstances, copyright remains with the original photographer or author. Please remember that copyright is protected under international law.

When you buy a print or digital image, you own a piece of artwork created by Drew Lees Art & Photography, you do not own any rights to the image; you have purchased a copy of the image. Only the owner of the copyright is authorised to reproduce the image. All of Drew Lees Art & Photography images are protected by copyright laws. Without prior permission, you cannot copy or reproduce the image for any reason, be it personal, educational, non-profit, or commercial.

The Copyright Act 1998
1) No copyright photograph may be copied without the permission of the copyright owner.
2) Photographers hold copyright in their own work unless agreed otherwise.
3) Photographers have the right to assert their moral right to be credited as the author of a photograph.
4) Photographers have the right to object to treatment of their photograph which distorts, mutilates or is otherwise damaging to their reputation.
5) Copyright duration is usually 70 years from the end of the year in which the author dies.
6) It is the responsibility of the user / publisher to check that they have permission, are within the terms of any licence, or are acting within the fair practice or other permissions granted by law.
7) Unauthorised copying of a copyright image including downloading images from this website or failure to give credit are infringements of law and as such can be subject to criminal sanctions such as a fine or imprisonment or civil sanctions such as claims for damages, accounts, delivery up or injunctions precluding one's use of the images.
